Nothing to be Afraid of Here: About Acupuncture
Acupuncture has been practiced for at least about 2000 years. Here is what the World Health Organization says about it.
This is what I have to say about it: It works really well most of the time for the things that bother us the most. Pain. Sleeplessness. Chronic stuff like stress and fatigue. Headaches. Allergies. Injuries. Those things that slowly kill us and makes us miserable. Mood stuff. Stiff joints. Being all stove up. It isn't the best choice if you are having a heart attack, but it is helpful in preventing one. We are multidimensional beings and this medicine acknowledges that and addresses it.
Everybody wants to know if it hurts to receive acupuncture. Sometimes it does a little, but mostly not. I use teeny tiny filiform needles made of surgical steel that are sterile and single use only. If you have bad feelings about needles and that is what is keeping you from acupuncture, I have other tools at my disposal. But really. It isn't bad at all, I promise.
